It's Co-Op season with Eric and Peter, as we come with a shorter one to neutralize our podcast length karma. We talk about our initial impressions of Borderlands 2, co-op or otherwise, keeping it brief as we'll no doubt be returning to Borderlands talk again and again.
Staying on the Co-op tip, we discuss our experience playing the Chris and Leon campaign demos together, in the recently wide banded Resident Evil 6 demo.
The news of the week spans potential new beginnings and the end of an era. We touch on the recent Killer Instinct trademark renewal by Microsoft, offering our speculation, and what developer could be up to the task of a KI reboot.
BioWare dominates the rest of the news, with the official announcement of Dragon Age 3, and the sad departure of the BioWare Doctors, Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuck from the game industry. Naturally we postulate if this is truly the end of these forward thinking entrepreneurs in the games space, or just a temporary break to recharge their passion.

Game drought 2012 plagues the podcast for one final week before the flood starts. But that just gives one of the best new releases, Mark of the Ninja the entire spotlight. Peter gives his pre-review thoughts on it and we go into other ninja topics state of contemporary ninja games and the NES Ninja Gaiden series.
Continuing the ninja theme, we discuss the new Ninja/Zombie game Yaiba (post-recording it was revealed as being a part of the Ninja Gaiden cannon, called Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z) by Keniji Inafune's new studio and why his involvement bodes well for the game.
Going somewhat off topic we talk about the WiiU, how we think it might fare against Sony's and Microsoft's current and future consoles. And will the apparent timed exclusivity of Bayonetta 2 help its cause any? Continuing the Platinum trend, we touch on Metal Gear Rising: Revengance not getting a Japanese Xbox 360 release.
Bonus segment @ 01:01:50, Peter gives a rundown of the recent competitive Fighting Game event Aftershock, summarizing the 8 vs. 8, Northern California against Southern California Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 exhibition. In between gushing about and evangelizing how amazing watching competitive Marvel streams is, Peter touches on the parallels between Professional Wrestling and Marvel, and why there is so much built in entertainment value at fighting game events.
