The team is back with episode 28 of the Xbox Edgeucation podcast. Topics include several of the big releases of the last few weeks with a couple of surprises. Eric and Pete talk about their love of Borderlands 2 and taking the new Mechromancer class out for a spin online while trying to grind closer to level 50.
The first few levels of Dishonored are examined with positive impressions of both the combat and stealth mechanics the game puts forward. Eric gives his take on why XCOM may be his game of the year and why it scratches the same addictive itch as Civilization V with a possible Breaking Bad reference. XCOM sidetracks into why turn based games may be a difficult sell to consumers despite being a viable and entertaining style of gameplay.
Despite Pete’s logical mind, Eric sings the praises of Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise while looking at some of its flaws. No spoiler talk this week for Episode 4 of The Walking Dead by Telltale but it is lightly touched upon.
Don’t miss out Borderlands 2 giveaway around the 51 minute mark. Remember to email your answer to podcast [at] xboxedge.com for a copy of the game with the subject, Borderlands 2 contest.
News of Telltale developing a Fables game leads into a comic and TV digression.

This past weekend the UFC treated Xbox Edge to a free viewing of UFC 154 through Xbox Live. The end result is something that worked surprisingly well, especially if you’re like me and you don’t have cable.
