Polytron Corporation has announced that their long in development platformer Fez, will finally be released on Xbox Live Arcade on April 13th for 800 Microsoft points.
Fez was initially announced way back in 2009 with a projected release date of 2010, which was later pushed back until 2012. Fez is a 2D platformer built entirely with Microsoft's XNA tool set and has a retro 8-bit pixel style. The interesting mechanic of Fez is that is allows players to rotate the gameworld around the main character, Gomez.
Last month Fez won the Seumas McNally Grand Prize award at the 2012 Independent Games Festival. The designer of Fez, Phil Fish was also featured in the upcoming Indie Game: The movie documentary.
