Mega publisher Activision's parent company Vivendi is looking to sell their stake in the gaming company for a cool $8 billion dollars. Vivendi purchased Activision in 2007 for just under $2 billion and merged it with Blizzard.
Bloomberg recently reported that a source close to the situation said that since Vivendi CEO Jean-Bernard Levy stepped down from his postion, the company has been looking for a buyer for it's 61% share of Activision. If they cannot find anyone willing to cough up $8.1 billion they may sell their shares on the open market.
