Brad Pitt to star in Red Dead Redemption movie

While there have been no previous announcemetns regarding a Red Dead Redemption movie, the fact that a studio would be interested in pursuing the project is not surprising. The release of Red Dead Redemption earlier this year was met with both critical and commerical success. Showbizspy the news outlet that broke the story of Brad Pitt being the "Hot Favorite" the play the movies protagonist claim to have legitimate sources

“This is an exciting project with a great character at the center of it,” a source told the Web site. “The idea is to make this in the style of an epic Western movie but with a few modern touches. Brad is perfect for the role and he is being given first refusal.”
