Final Fantasy XIII-2 getting episodic DLC

In a interview on the Square Enix blog Final Fantasy XIII-2 producer Yoshinori Kitase mentioned that along with bonus boss battles and cotumes XIII-2 will also be getting episodic story segments as downloadable content.

"We're not just planning boss battles or costumes but also planning episodic DLC items that will hopefully expand on the universe and the gameplay for Final Fantasy XIII-2," says Kitase.

Along with this news, according to Andriasang a recent issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famistu mentioned that some of the upcoming episodic will inlcude Lightning as a playable character who can later be added to your party. It also adds that a story about Sazh and his son will become availbale.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be available next week on January 31, no word on when all of this DLC will be released or how much it will cost as of yet.
