What We Expect From Our Writers

Above all else we expect our writers to have a passion for video games. While XboxEdge.com is an Xbox 360 website, we don’t ignore the existence of other platforms and often write articles regarding the video game industry as a whole. We encourage our writers to reflect upon the development of games for other systems and incorporate them into their articles regarding the Xbox 360.

All writers of XboxEdge.com are expected to be dedicated, mature and have a solid grasp of the English language (proper grammar, punctuation, etc).

Available Writing Positions – Which is Right For You?

We are looking for both news editors and original content creators.

Original content creators are expected to create their own content. Content would range from writing reviews, opinion pieces on a current news story, editorial topics (regarding a specific game, trend or the video game industry) to writing guides. We would like our writers to contribute writing one article per week at minimum.

News Editors are expected to keep XboxEdge.com updated with the latest news stories regarding the Xbox 360, Xbox Live, and the video game industry as a whole. We want news editors who are familiar with gathering video game news via the internet and who regularly keep up to date regarding anything and everything video games. We would like our news editors to contribute writing three to five news stories a week at minimum. Some weeks, particularly around E3, PAX and other video game conventions require additional updates.

The roles of original content creators and news editors are not exclusive from one another. We often encourage our writers to participate in both roles.

While we appreciate the work and effort that goes into writing articles, both of the above writing positions are currently not paid but XboxEdge.com does offer the opportunity to have your writing exposed to thousands of readers and video game fans every month.
